Obituary of Frank L. Coppola

Frank Coppola, 93, of Gravesend, Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Sally Ann Coppola, loving father of Lou-Anne Tomaselli and Camille Coppola; cherished grandfather of Frank Ryan McHugh, John Tomaselli and his wife Karen; great grandfather of Carolyn Tomaselli; dear brother of the late Michael Coppola and his wife Katherine, Conchetta Ulitto and her late husband Vincent, Vincent Coppola and his wife Maryann. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Frank was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, NY. He attended high school until the 11th Grade, when he went to work to help support his family. He played baseball for the parish of St. Bernadette's. He was in The Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor. Frank's primary occupation was that of a longshoreman. He also worked as a security guard for the New York Mets for over 30 years. In his spare time, he liked baseball and bowling. Most of all, he loved being with his family and friends. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Thursday, 6/17/2021, a Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
