I had the pleasure of meeting Tony in Salisbury Twp. at John's first adventure in owning a bar. The original name of the bar was the Farmington Grille. For for all the New Yorker's, Salisbury Twp. is a suburb of Allentown PA. When John (the New Yorker) bought the bar he immediately changed the name to TRAPPERS PUB. John worked hard to make the business grow. He did have some help from the locals that worked there under the previous owner. As time went on John's mom and dad would come down for the weekend. As many have said "Tony was one to lead", and lead he did. But after the days work was done it was time relax, yea right! Tony never seemed to relax. He enjoyed us local patrons and we became good friends. I don't know exactly how the Martoni was born, but it became a big hit, especially with its inventor Tony Trapani. Tony will be missed here on earth, but he is in a good place with his beloved wife Sandy, and also my sister Mick (who was the first waitress John hired). Hot wings always made Jim's way!!! Rest in peace Tony!

Tony was the glue that held our group together. He would contact us all and set up a monthly lunch at the Staaten every month or so. Being a typical Italian, he would bring Italian bread to the Wednesday lunch at the elks, as the thought of eating sliced bread rubbed him the wrong way. We will all miss Tony, I will especially miss his Caponata salad. He and sandy will now be together again

As Joy's lifelong friend and college roommate I was lucky enough to know Tony. He was always taking care of Joy. Whether it was fixing some of the many things that we broke or that needed repair in our apartment or sending along delicious care packages every weekend. I know they weren't technically for me but I still think he always packed extra of his roasted red peppers for me. In later years he mixed me some "Martonis", always with a twinkle in his eye. Most of all, I will always remember him as a man whose unconditional love and devotion for his family shown through in everything he did. We were all lucky to have known him. Sending all of my love to the Trapani family.

So many wonderful memories of your dad it's hard to choose one. I was talking to your dad one day in his kitchen. My dad was standing next to him. So there I am chatting away telling him some story and your dad starts yelling "what, I can't hear you" so I bend down next to him and turn my head towards his pocket where he kept his hearing aids and said " can you hear me now ?" The two of them started laughing so hard. I'll miss stopping by to say hi how ya doing, bringing him Christmas cookies including two of my favorite that your mom made. I made a point to stop there not long ago and your dad was gracious enough to let me browse through your mom's cook books. I was taking pics of them and then your dad said I'm sure she made copies, look behind the originals. There they were. I'll cherish them always. Peace be with you all. All our love, Nick, Nichole and Nicky
