With just a few words, I will attempt to convey the passing of my beloved aunt. Begotten by two of the world's most wonderful people, it was enjoyable to have grown up with you as part of the family. I will never disremember all our family gatherings nor the love we all shared for such memorable moments. With a tender heart, I say goodbye to you, my dear aunt Denise. The universe brought you into being, and the universe has reclaimed you. Although you are not awake, You do not sleep. Just as the sun must fall so the eyes can see what shines so brightly in the darkness, so you are the heavenly light that will forever illuminate our hearts. For you are the sunset, and the evening star, The fire that kindles the night afar. Now so distant, yet forever so near, You are the shimmering cosmic chandelier. You are the smell of grass and the butting flower, You are in our thoughts from hour to hour. You are the autumn gust and the thousand winds that blow, You are the diamond glint on the glimmering snow. You are the summer rain and the midwinter snowflake, You are the stream that trickles and the placid lake. You are the birds that chirp and the clear blue sky, You are the warm spring breeze and the Butterfly. Your passage to the infinite is without sea or land, Without fear you are guided by the eternal hand. So then, Your hour of departure has come to pass, yet your journey is without end. Dear Auntie, thank you for being the other aunt in my life. I will always cherish our selfies, your awesome Halloween parties (you gave me a reason to be excited about that holiday) and of course your fabulous Thanksgiving’s where we’d laugh all night, play games at your table and we all talk about everything. I can hear you as I type this say “oh sweetheart.”. I remember the last hug I really got to give you and tell you I love you. I know you’re at peace now and dancing away with your mom and pop and will forever be our guarden angle. Love you auntie.
