Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Although a good heart has stopped beating, a heart that has touched so many lives, can't help but live on in those who loved it.

So sorry to hear of Eileen’s passing. I’ll always remember how kind and generous she was and how much we looked forward to her and Noel’s visits to Ireland and the many days out Justine and I were treated to over the years.
She was always so warm and welcoming and looked after me when I visited NY some years ago…nothing was ever too much trouble. Tim and I will always have very happy memories of travelling to Bermuda for Justine’s wedding and the great reunion we had then. What a lovely lady she was. She will be missed by all of us. Thinking of Noel, Justine and David at this difficult time. May Eileen rest in peace.

Eileen will be missed. We grew up together on Popham Avenue in the Bronx – 3 houses from one another. She was my first real friend – that special friendship that you have as a kid – that you don’t forget and always cherish. In Holy Spirit, we braved the “discipline of the Dominican Sisters” – we helped each other survive! We went to different high schools – but still always remained friends going to all of the high school dances – you know looking for “Mr. Right” ! We had fun for sure. Leaving our teens, we moved onto the The Archway and Durty Nelly’s – the best Irish bars in the Bronx! Eileen loved to dance and loved to have a good time. She was also very brave – I had my license for about 3 minutes and she bravely drove for 3 hours with me to the Catskills – yes she was brave! Eileen also loved to travel – we shared many trips together, but I think the one she loved the most was going to Ireland. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and even more proud to be the wife of Noel, the mother of David and Justine and grandmother to Lucy. Eileen was kind and compassionate and loved being a nurse and caring for others. Eileen was my friend who was a big part of my childhood. And, although we didn’t see each other often, when you have a friend that you cherish, time nor distance makes a difference. Eileen was my friend whose memory I will cherish always. My deepest condolences to Noel, David, Justine, Maureen and Kathleen. Heaven has gained another angel. Rest in peace my friend! With Love, Marianne
