When I was growing up, I always called her “Nanay” because I thought it meant grandma in Tagalog and my mother would call her Nanay so I instantly picked up on it, but she soon told me that it meant “mother”. No matter what, I still kept calling her Nanay and will to this day and on because she was a motherly figure in my life, and to everyone’s life. She greeted you with so much love and care, it touched your heart instantly. My love for her will continue to grow, as I feel her presence everyday blessing me, and to continue being the person she grew up with. As a family, we will miss you deeply, and will continue to love and cherish the memories we all shared with you. I love you always and forever Nanay. With so much love, your granddaughter, Melinda

I have many precious memories of Lourdes "Nanay" whom is my mother in-law and has lived with us for almost 10 years. One of the sweetest human beings I have ever known. She was an absolute gem to the family. Her unconditional love for her husband, children and grandchildren was amazingly genuine. I have been missing her since the day they wheeled her out to hospital never to make it home. We will miss you dearly, but you will remain in my heart forever. Love Ramon Son-in-law
