I spent many days and nights with my Aunt, I have such amazing memories growing up with my family on Bay 14th. I remember how I would make her laugh at the strange things I did. I would sit in her kitchen & watch her cook & tell her my ridiculous stories. Or how she laughed & was surprised when I would just show up to say a quick hello. I mean what teenager voluntarily leaves there friends telling them they will be right back just to go to the other neighborhood to show up at their aunts house? Being with her & with my family gave me a feeling of comfort. I think she got that same feeling with me. We had a special bond that wasn’t spoken but that just made us closer. Aunt Cathy & I were bonded together not only through blood, but also a bond of our hearts. May she rest in peace!

Some of my fondest childhood memories include spending summers upstate NY with Aunt Cathy. It’s sad how much time goes by before you realize there’s no time left to spend with your loved ones. May you rest easy.
