Obituary of Catherine Magno (nee De Palma)

Catherine Magno (nee De Palma), 77 of Bullshead, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 2, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore De Palma(1978), she devoted her life to her sons Salvatore and Steven De Palma and loving grandmother of Salvatore and Amanda De Palma. .Also she loved her many nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Carl and Rose Magno, brother Alfred Magno and her best friend her sister Frances Randazzo. Catherine was born in Brooklyn, graduated from Lafayette high school and soon after married the love of her life Salvatore. They immediately started there family. With there 2 sons they lived in long island, upstate New York and then back to Brooklyn. She worked for many years at Bayside Fuel and then Petro Oil. In the early 90's she moved to Staten Island. She loved going to the casino in Atlantic City and the Chinese buffet, but most of all she loved making sauce for Sunday dinner with upwards of 50 meatballs, why so many we never knew but that was her. She will always be remembered for the kind and giving person she always was. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service is scheduled on Tuesday at 10:00 AM, in the funeral home, with interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, NY.
