Our Sister JoAnne was the epitome of a first born child. She was adored by her parents, grandparents, and her Aunts and Uncles. She enjoyed the luxury of being an only child for a just a very short time. Then the rest of us arrived. She immediately assumed her role in life as our second mother and leader of the pack. JoAnne broke the ice for the rest of us, and gave us footsteps to follow. She was smart, talented and generous. As Navy Juniors we relocated many times during our childhoods. We knew that what mattered most was that we were Puleos, Sicilian, and that loyalty to family ran in our blood. We always had each other, and we always had each others backs. Many times we entered new schools as the new kids. As we walked to our separate classrooms we would tell each other, "I'll see you on the playground at recess". JoAnne is in eternal peace and now reunited with the great love of her life, Sal. I know Mom, Dad, Jeanne and Margaret have all lovingly welcomed you home. See you on the eternal playground, dear Sister.

Mom I honestly don’t know how I’m going to manage without you. We did everything together.
I already miss our daily FaceTime calls.
There’s a whole in my heart that will never be filled.
You were my best friend, the one I went to when I needed advice. You were brutally honest. I valued your opinion.
Growing up you always made the best birthday cakes
I’m lost but I know you are happy to be reunited with dad
You pain and suffering has ended and I find strength in that
Thank you for making me the woman I am today
I hope I continue to make you proud
I will forever love you
Rest in the sweetest peace
