LIKe several others here, my connection to Mr. Lutfey was through McKinley J.H.S, where I was a student in 1956--57. Even after all these years, I have the fondest memories of him as one of the kindest, most decent, and best teachers I had there. I'm glad he became an assistant principal. Condolences to his family on the loss of a really wonderful man.

Mr. Lutfey, I was a student at McKinley from 1966-1969 when he was a teacher. In 1984 I was given a job as a Math teacher ,replacing Ray Agoglia,who replaced Mr.Lutfy as Assistant Principal. So I guess you can say Mr. Lutfey's retirement gave me my job from 1984 -2003. I then went to IS281 as a math coach. Mc Kinley was a great place to work and to be a student ,thanks to caring people like Mr. Lutfey. Rest in Peace. Love and Prayer to his family. Linda (Steo class of 1969) Mollo-Holmes

I was a secretary at McKinley Intermediate School and worked with Al as a new secretary in 1980 until he retired. I’m very sorry for your loss. Al was a pleasure to work with.
